I’ve went ahead and had another “whiteboard animation” video done for one of my websites. I’ve had good results with my other videos and figured I would add another to one of my sites to try and capture some emails (they are also great for sales videos).
This time I went with www.CartoonMedia.com as they got in touch with me after reading my other reviews of whiteboard video companies. If you check out their website you will be able to see a collection of their example videos which are all great quality. You will also get prices listed right on the website so you don’t have to contact them before finding out prices (which can be annoying). Just a tip if you are interested in using them for a whiteboard video – enter your email in their form on the right hand side of the website and you will receive a 10% discount!
Anyways I got in touch with their managing director, Phil, and he got me started. I sent them over the script I wrote up for my video and right away I was impressed with their service when he emailed back some suggested changes. I’m no expert in writing video scripts, so I welcomed any suggestions and actually ended up using almost all of his suggested changes (which improved the script a lot in my opinion).
Once we had the script done it was time to move onto choosing the voice over. I had the option of doing the voice over myself, but I wanted a more professional sounding video so Phil suggested I send him my voice so he could find a professional voice over artist that had a similar voice to me. That is actually really smart and something that other whiteboard video companies hadn’t asked me in the past. Being 24 I would want a 55 year old for example doing my voice over and sound nothing like me. I sent him a link to a YouTube video I’ve uploaded in the past and he matched me up with an artist that sounded somewhat like me (as close as you can get from a professional probably). He sent back the voice over when it was done and asked if I wanted anything changed, but luckily it was perfect and just how I wanted it to sound.
Next was the video and whiteboard part of the production. They put together a quick sketch of the storyboard for a rough idea, and asked what I thought of the slides. We talked a bit and came up with a few small changes which were changed for me and we were ready to go.
Not much longer the finished product was emailed to me and I couldn’t have been happier. You can see the final video here on my Free Insider List page at WorkoutTipster.com. As you can see it is a very professional looking whiteboard video.
I was very impressed with the team from CartoonMedia.com and I would use them again for a future whiteboard video. If you are looking to get a video done for your website or small business I recommend getting in touch with them and see what they can offer you. Thanks Cartoon Media for a great video!
