2012 Affiliate Goals

What a year 2011 was! I did well with my business and personally had a very solid year. The year included building my first house, getting a new golden retriever puppy, travelling to Florida, Mexico and Las Vegas, and having tons of personal bests within my business.

I already did a post of my 2011 goals recap so lets get right into my 2012 goals…

No New Sites – I had this goal last year, and although I did a pretty good job only creating a few sites last year, this year I want to actually create 0 new sites what so ever. I can’t see myself needing any other websites at all so my goal will be ZERO sites. I have a great list of sites that need my full attention so I will focus on those.

Make TheSportsGeek.com an Authority Sports Betting Site – It already is a very popular site and is ranking well for a lot of different decent terms and long tail keywords, but I want to increase the popularity of the site. One thing I need to do is go in and fix a lot of the inner pages which are pretty beginner-ish articles. I’d also like to get some better reviews up on the pages and maybe even some video reviews. I would love to have a couple of different writers who really excel at handicapping individual sports and who can post on wordpress themselves (more on this later).

Continue Improving My Sports Handicapping – One of my biggest passions is handicapping sports. I’ve had some success, but I can still improve of course. I’d love to keep learning and improve my winning %. One thing I need to get better at is the math that the real sharp bettors have down. I was always good at math in school so this is something that shouldn’t be too hard if I try to teach myself.

Earn $500/month @ BuySupplementsOnline.org With My Partner By March – The site has really become a great site, as my buddy knows a ton about workout supplements (he’s taking something related in college) and he personally tests all the supplements he writes about. We’ve got some decent rankings right now and the more quality content we write the more people will find our site. My hope is that people will bookmark the site and come back to check out recent reviews. I should mention – if you’re ever buying supplements online I would love if you visited our site and clicked an affiliate link before purchasing (even if you’re already a member at bb.com they pay 5%).

Make 5 Week Makeover Profitable – I put a lot of time into my women’s fat loss product which helps women lose weight with an exercise program and diet, but I haven’t made much money with it at all. In fact if I calculated everything I’ve probably lost money + a lot of valuable time of mine. The good thing is that there is a big market for these products and if I keep working hard I think it will pay off greatly. This is going to be one of my bigger focuses in February and onwards.

5% Rule – One thing I’ve tried to switch my lifestyle towards is the 95%/5% rule. Basically there is where you look at everything that needs to be done within your life/business and outsource the 95% of things that you don’t want to be doing. Of course you will have to do some things you don’t really want to do that’ll make you money, but if you can outsource anything you should be. That includes things like grocery shopping, paying bills, doing taxes, cleaning, etc. I’m not at the stage where I will be outsourcing things like grocery shopping, but in the near future I’d love to. The less you have to do things that you don’t enjoy doing the more productive you will probably be when on the computer working. For 2012 I want to outsource things like posting wordpress posts that my writers write for me, fixing old content, etc.

Personal Goals – My personal goals include the usual for me. I want to continue to workout roughly 5 times per week and eating healthy for the most part. I want to travel a few times this year. I’ve already got a trip to Dominican booked with my girlfriend for February, and I’d love to go somewhere else warm at some point this year. I’d also love to get away to a cottage with my gf and dog at some point in the summer. Another goal of mine is to pay off some of my mortgage outside of my bi-weekly payments. Also with my new house I want to put up a deck, fence, and maybe get a hottub at the edge of my deck (not sure about that yet though). I’ll see where I am later in the year but I may also look to finish my basement in 2012. Another financial goal is to put more money into my retirement fund. I want to retire early so I need to get on that!

Alright that wraps up my 2012 affiliate goals. I hope you yourself have set out some goals as it really does help. Lets crush 2012, and enjoy the year while we do!

Congrats on the goals and your 5% rule lol! What’s your daily work regime going to be for 2012? 10am – 5pm or something?

Just checking my goals and missed your comment. My daily work routine is usually like 10am to 1pm, gym break, 3pm-6pm.

And then sometimes I work a lot later than 6 and others I barely work at all in the afternoon/night.
