Lets start off with the basics:

The Intro:

In 2010 I decided that school was not for me and dropped out of college to follow my dream working for myself from home.

I am a full time internet marketer currently working out of my house.  I have thought about purchasing office space, but having my office within my place is a lot more convenient.  The only downfall is that the TV, bed, or Xbox is only a few steps away, but I’m focused enough to work hard during the day and save that stuff for my downtime.

I started mainly doing affiliate marketing, but have branched out into some different areas making money on the Internet which you will learn about in my blog post ramlbings.

Like I have written in the sidebar of my blog: I created the name for my blog “Dropout Got Rich” because it was catchy (and easy to remember).  Although I make good money right now, I am nowhere near what I think of as “rich”.  I’m working my way to becoming wealthy so that I can live life how I want to live (lots of freedom and fun).  I also believe in giving back, and have already started by donating to charities monthly.

So how did I get to where I am?

Well I guess it all started back when I was 16 (2004) and my friend had told me about how he was making a couple thousand each month promoting online poker sites.  I was pretty amazed he was doing that at 15 years old, and looked into doing it myself.  I read up on some stuff but was completely lost about how to even get started running a website and basically quit on the idea.

Fast forward 3 years when I attend my local University for Business.  In my first semester I was in a Computer Science class where I learned how to build a website.  I instantly remembered how my buddy was making thousands per month back in ’04 and found the forum he showed me.  I asked a ton of questions and finally got my first site launched a few months later (most embarrassing thing I’ve ever owned probably haha).

It only took a couple months until I was making a few hundred per month, and a couple more until I made my first thousand in a month.  I was hooked.

University was tough and I wasn’t really into the courses, and was getting really interested in making money online.  I made a big decision in my life to take a year off school and focus on my mini online business while playing some junior hockey – best decision in my life.  I grew my online business to a point where I knew I could make a comfortable living doing it.

I enrolled in a local college for business marketing and went to school for a year while doing the website stuff on the side.  First semester I had a high GPA and was on some honor roll and that crap, but my websites were starting to take off at the same time.  The second semester didn’t go as planned and I had to dropout of one class because it was an attendance mandatory class and I missed a few classes.

I was now making probably double the amount per month I would make from any job I would get (if I could even find a job) with my diploma in business marketing.  In my second year of the 2 year program I decided that it was in my best decision to just dropout completely.

I didn’t base the decision on the fact that I was making more money than a marketing job would pay me, but more on potential I have working for myself as an Internet Marketer online.  I’ve always wanted to be my own boss and I’ve always wanted to become very successful in whatever I chose to do – with Internet Marketing the sky is the limit and I am confident I can live a comfortable life if I work hard.

This blog is going to be following my everyday life as an online marketer.  I will post my ideas, tips, secrets,  ramblings or whatever I want to post on the blog – and hope to entertain and help out others. Enjoy.
